Gene Little, about 44, of Mt. Zion, has been released from a Charleston hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg earlier this week.
Little, who lives on Sinking Springs Road, was reportedly riding an ATV when his gun discharged.
Little underwent surgery to his lower leg for the extraction of a bullet, in addition to other surgery related to the wound.
Officers from West Virginia DNR are investigating.
