Gene L. Hall, 79, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009.
He was born February 19, 1930 in Charleston, W. Va., to the late Shirley and Mabel (Jarvis) Hall.
Gene was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a recipient of a gold medal and Silver Star.
He is survived by one brother, Ronald of Orma, W. Va. and three sisters, Dorothy Ice of Belpre, Ohio, Velma Demboski of Beckley, W. Va., and Mary Hunter of College Park, MD. He was also a good friend and care giver to Edgar Lindsey. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Bernard and Carl and one sister, Judy. Gene was a Christian by faith.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., Akron. Interment was in the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, with Reverend Becki Bowan-Verbridge officiating.
