ROBBED VIDEO OUTLET - Raleigh County authorities are looking for a man who robbed a Shady Spring video lottery parlor.
A man walked into Pop's video lottery parlor in Shady Spring, pulled a gun and demanded money. He tied the clerk up before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and fleeing on foot.
CLARKSBURG SHOOTING - A Pittsburgh man is in the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds he suffered in Clarksburg. Michael Burrows, 24, was shot in the arm and the chest.
He exchanged gunfire with a Fairmont man, Abram Edison, 21.
Police said following the shooting, Burrows ran down the street before collapsing at the bridge that crosses Elk Creek.
Witnesses heard six shots, and police found bullet casings, but no weapons have been found.
Police are not clear on the motive.
SELF-DEFENSE SHOOTING - A Wayne County man was shot and killed Wednesday in what appears to be a self-defense case, according to Wayne County Sheriff Greg Farley.
Charles David Workman is dead after being shot with a shotgun at the home of James Belcher.
Police said Workman tried to kick down the door of Belcher's home reportedly trying to recover some money from Belcher.
Authorities indicated that Workman was armed with a shotgun and threatened to shoot Belcher.
Belcher surrendered to authorities, with no charges being immediately filed.
MAN GOES TO PRISON OVER HUNTING SHOOTING -
A Pennsylvania man will spend five years in prison for killing a Lewis County hunter and leaving the scene.
Robert Tobias, 58, of Millersburg was sentenced Wednesday to serve five years for wanton endangerment with a firearm.
Tobias also received concurrent sentences of one year for negligible shooting causing death and 100 days for failing to render aid.
Tobias accidentally shot and killed 32-year old Shawn Stewart on the first day of spring gobbler season in April, 2009, when they were
hunting near Stonewall Jackson Lake.
Tobias didn't come forward immediately, but a piece of hunting clothing lead police to him.
OAK HILL ROBBERY - Several people inside an Oak Hill mobile home reported being robbed at both gunpoint and knife-point.
Police received a report of an in-progress armed robbery at the Rosedale Trailer Park.
The alleged victims told police two men, one armed with a handgun and the other armed with a knife, robbed them of prescribed controlled substances.
