Wirt County resident Diane Ludwig has been hired as the Executive Director of the
Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation. Ludwig was given a two-year contract
to develop economic opportunities for Wirt and Calhoun counties. The two-county
project allows more money to be accessed from government for job creation.
Ludwig, who has a background in economic development, was hired for $37,000
annually, with a $4000 benefit package.
The company sought applications for the position, and sources said the field of
applicants was narrowed to three people.
The LKADC meets monthly, alternating between Elizabeth and Grantsville, according
to President Dan McDonald.
