Robert "Bob" Lydick, 72, of Parkersburg passed away Nov. 14, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Grantsville, W.Va., a son of the late Ernest and Waneta Whipkey Lydick.
He was retired from DuPont Washington Works, enjoyed classic cars and showing his 1967 442 Oldsmobile convertible. He was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan, served in the U.S. Army and was a Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Riggs Lydick; one daughter, Lisa Marks (Darren) of Belpre; two sisters, Karen Crawford (Mike) of Columbus, Ohio, and Sharon Sampson of Grantsville; one grandson, Tyler "Shag" Marks; and special friends, Connie and John Asbury.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Dwane Porter officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
