| Edward C. Knotts, 83, of Walker, passed away on Nov. 13, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Minnora, W.Va., a son of the late C. A. and Eva Campbell Knotts.
Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He and his wife operated Knotts Store in Leachtown for 15 years.
Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Wilson Knotts; son, David Knotts of Canton; grandsons Kyle D. , Korey D. and Kristofer D. Knotts; granddaughters, Mary Huxler and Karissa D. Knotts; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Edward C. Knotts; and two sisters, Betty Papas and Iris Douglas.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is assisting the Knotts family with cremation arrangements.
