Over 100 attend annual event
Project coordinator Carlene Frederick welcomes guests
Over one hundred people attended the annual Recognition and Awards Dinner
sponsored by the Student Coalition Against Tobacco (SCAT) and the local Anti
Tobacco Coalition. This years event was "Turning the Tide," with featured speaker
Christina Mackey. It was held at Calhoun Middle/High School.

The group enjoyed a dinner, prepared by Janet Cunningham and Donna Poling.
Entertainment was provided by a group of students from Pleasant Hill School who
presented patriotic songs, Norma Myers and her children's choir, and a jump room
demonstration. Awards were presented to schools for their involvement in anti
tobacco programs.
Project Coordinator Carlene Frederick expressed her appreciation to SCAT and
coalition members, the community for its support, the local schools and county
school board, and Angie Linger for the program.
