| Edna Beulah "Tip" Oldaker, age 90. of Mid Ave. Weston, departed this life at 3:53 a.m., Saturday October 31, 2009 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Weston following a brief illness.
Born January 26, 1919 in Lewis Co., daughter of the late John and Nora Lipscomb Elliott.
Tip was a retired aid from the Weston State Hospital, she loved her family, quilting, painting, and bowling. She was a member of the former Memorial United Methodist Church in Weston
.
On October 12, 1940 she was united in marriage to John Junior "Pappy" Oldaker, who preceded her in death on October 26, 1988.
Surviving are 1 daughter and 1 son; Mary Oldaker of Troy WV. and John J. Oldaker II and wife Pat of Alum Bridge WV; 6 grandchildren, John J. Oldaker III of Jane Lew, James A. Oldaker of Cabbage Fork WV, Jason Oldaker of Roanoke VA, Steve Ellyson of Cox's Mill WV, Kathy Alfred of Weston, and Mary Jo Roberts of Glenville WV. There are 12 great grandchildren also surviving and a special friend Sallie Mathess of Cox's Mill.
Mrs. Oldaker was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Lonnie, Charles, and James Elliott, Bonnie Keister and Bessie Gum.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 4, 2009 at the Boyle Funeral Home, Weston with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boyle Funeral Home.
