An Amma, Roane County man has died in a motorcycle crash near Clendenin.
Authorities have identified Raymond E. Pauley, 40, of Amma.
Pauley lost control of his 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle while trying to pass two cars in a no passing zone near Herbert Hoover High School, police say.
Pauley apparently lost control and hit a concrete culvert while riding at a high rate of speed, throwing him off of the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
