(10/07/2009)
West Virginia is bracing for the Swine Flu.

While most people who get the Swine Flu, deal with the disease and recover quite well, health experts are predicting some major problems this fall.

Every citizen needs to take extra preventative steps, including frequent sanitizing of hands, and other universal precautions.

Significant pockets of cases are being reported in several border counties.

West Virginia Bureau for Public Health spokeswoman Marsha Dadisman says spikes in the number were recorded Tuesday in Cabell, Mercer, Monongalia and Wood counties.

WVU has been hard hit with 400 cases.

Cabell County Schools spokesman Jedd Flowers said about 40 percent of the student body was absent Tuesday, three days after a 14-year-old freshman at Cabell Midland High School died.
