Frances Wright, 86, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the Golden Times Home, Reedy, after an extended illness.
She was born Saturday, May 12, 1923, at Clover, a daughter of the late Hayes and Effie Niday Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, J.W. "Bill" Wright in 1992; two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Wright retired from Kellwood after 31 years of service. She was the oldest Roane County Foster Grandmother, with 10 years of service. Also, she was a born again Christian and attended Steele Hollow Community Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dana Harold of Rootstown, OH; three grandchildren, Kathy Miller of Ravenna, OH, Connie Uy of Waldorf, MD and Melissia Meadows of London, England; one great grandson, Timothy Miller with the USAF, New Mexico; one great great grandson, Nicolas Miller; two brothers, John Bailey and Bill Bailey both of Spencer.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 4 at noon, in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Bro. Bill Walton officiating, with Al Nida assisting. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
