Jack M. Ferguson 94 of Mt. Zion, Calhoun County, died Sunday, February 17 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville, WV.
Born at White Pine Community, Calhoun County, he was a son of the late John K. and Stella Connolly Ferguson. He was a 1928 graduate of Calhoun County High School and graduated from the Cohen Electrical College of Chicago, Illinois in 1930. He was a member of the Independent Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of Huntington, WV, Local #317 and the National Chapter of Washington, DC. He was a member of Eureka Lodge # 40, AF&AM of Grantsville, Charleston Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies and Nemesis Shrine Temple of Parkersburg, WV.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ernestine Ross Ferguson and two daughters, and sons in law, Virginia Ice and her husband Bill of Pittsburgh, PA and Elizabeth (Betty) Salisbury and her husband David of St. Albans, WV; six grandchildren, Teri Pomerleau of Letrobe, PA, Douglas and James Ice both of Pittsburgh, Tammy Canterbury and Kevin Ferguson both of Hurricane, WV and Bill Salisbury of St. Albans and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are a daughter in law, Gloria Ferguson of Glasgow, WV and a niece, Nellie Dale Byrne of Mt. View, Wyoming.
Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by one son, John Dale Ferguson, a brother, Rome Ferguson and two sisters, Edna Swanson and Eula Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverend Rick Swearingen will officiate. Interment will be in the Nobe Cemetery at Nobe, WV with Masonic Graveside Rites by Eureka Lodge #40 of Grantsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday
