Edward Clayton Reed, 46, of Ivydale, WV, died February 15, 2002,
in a motor vehicle accident.
Edward invested 30 years of his life with his brother, James W. Reed Jr.,
establishing a natural gas development and distribution enterprise in central West
Virginia. He was a strong, supportive and loving husband, father, brother, son and
friend.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Hansford Reed in 1993.
Survivors are his wife, Melody; daughters, Erin and Sarah, who are attending the
University of Kentucky in Lexington; his son, Brian, a senior at Clay County
High School, who is still living at home; parents, James and Helen Reed of Clay,
WV; brothers, James Reed Jr. of Clay, Dr. Charles Reed of Stuart,
Florida; aunt, Mary Reed Ward of Clay; uncle, David R. Black of
Minneapolis, MN.
Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at the Clay United Methodist Church,
Clay, with Minister Don Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow in Reed
Cemetery, Clay.
He will be greatly missed and remembered by all. |
