Carl R. Smith, 63 of Grantsville, WV, died Saturday, February 16 at Camden Clark-Memorial
Hospital, Parkersburg.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Oral and Cecil H. Elliott Smith. He was a
mechanic in the construction industry and had been active in oil and gas production.
Surviving are his wife, Izettta S. Smith and two sons, Oral B. Smith of Mooresville, NC and
Lucas E. Smith of Grantsville; a stepdaughter, Sheila L. Jones of Big Springs, WV and stepson
Richard H. Rader of Grantsville; three sisters, Lucretia Yoak of Spencer, WV, Leta Bennett of
Pennsboro, WV and Annalene Duskey of Texarkana, Texas and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother,Oral D. Smith.
There will be no visitation. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Stump
Funeral Home of Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
