The Calhoun High School Volleyball team opened the 2009 season at home Thursday, Sept. 3 hosting LKC South foe Clay County. Clay claimed the victory in four sets 25-10, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-19.

The CHS Varsity team traveled to West Union Saturday Sept 5 to take part in the ten team, Bulldog Bash. Calhoun defeated Braxton and St. Albans but fell to Doddridge and South Harrison in pool play.
Doddridge defeated Calhoun 25-17, 25-12.

Ashley Houchin was selected to the All Tournament team along with Megan Ellison - Wirt; Sierra Carver - Clay; Sam Bailey and Erica Smith - Doddridge; Hilary Young - Nicholas; Nicole Sadecky and Emily Moss - Ravenswood.
Calhoun Varsity traveled to Parkersburg Catholic Sept. 8 for a varsity tri with Catholic and St. Marys and hosts Roane County on Thursday, Sept. 10 in a Junior Varsity/Varsity match. Results will be posted when available.
