Acting State Director Dianne Goff Crysler has announced that Rural Development approved a Community Facilities Grant in the amount of $50,000 for the Gilmer County Ambulance Authority.
"Rural Development funds will be used to assist in the purchase of a new ambulance and radio communications system," stated Crysler.
Through the Community Facilities Programs, assistance is provided to facilities such as libraries, schools and First Responders, ambulance services, and hospitals, using a variety of programs that assist in funding construction, operating costs, repairs and equipment.
