| Mary Marjorie Hess age 66 of Hess Dr. Cedarville, West Virginia, departed this life at 8:30 a.m. Saturday August 29, 2009 in Minnie Hamilton Health Care, Grantsville following an extended illness.
Born September 4, 1942 in Braxton Co. daughter of the late Mervel "Mugs" & Ester Carr Perkins.
Margie was a homemaker, member of the Gilmer Co. Volunteer Fire Dept. Support Group, where she was honored as Support person of the year in 2008 and a member of the Leading Creek Baptist Church.
On September 7, 1962 she was united in marriage to Dale Hess, who preceded her in death on June 24, 1991.
Surviving are 9 children: Tammy Mayo & husband John of South Dakota, Martin Hess & wife Melissa of Sand Fork, Mike Hess & wife Debbie of Cedarville, Twins Jerry & wife Amy & Terry Hess both of Cedarville, Kevin Hess & fiancée Debbie of Baldwin, Bill Hess of Cedarville, Barbara Hess & fiancée Jimmy of Cedarville, James Hess & Bobby Jo of Cedarville.
There are 24 grandchildren & several great-grandchildren also surviving.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 1, 2009 at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. Glenville with Rev. Lloyd Stewart & Rev. Waitman Sandy officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery Glenville. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Margie Hess with arrangements.
