RUSSIAN ROULETTE SHOOTING - A Kanawha County man was killed Thursday evening at Campbells Creek in what police say is a "Russian roulette" shooting.
Brad Rhodes, 31, was with at least three other people in front of his home on Campbells Creek, when the incident happened.
Russian roulette involves putting one live round in the cylinder of a revolver, randomly spinning the cylinder and pulling the trigger in hopes the hammer falls on an empty chamber.
Police say it appears Rhodes pulled the trigger on a live bullet.
Deputies arrived within minutes, but Rhodes was dead.
Police did not know if the others were participating in the "game."
TEEN THREATENS WITH PELLET GUN AT SCHOOL - A teenager is in jail after allegedly threatening students and staff at a Clarksburg school with a pellet gun.
18-year old Alex Berkley has been charged with "threats of terrorist acts" after he reportedly pulled out what appeared to be a gun at the Stanley Technical Institute.
Police say the student pulled out the weapon, and began making threats.
Some of the students fled the building, as Clarksburg Police were called to the scene.
Berkley, according to police, hid the weapon in a closet inside of a classroom and left the scene.
It wasn't until police arrived that they found out the weapon was just a pellet gun.
The school was placed on lock down until Berkley had been detained police said.
Berkley is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail with a $50,000 bond.
