Chad Friend, a 2007 Parkersburg High grad, died from a gunshot wound to the upper body about 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Friend was taken to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

Parkersburg Police say it started with a confrontation between neighbors, with the argument escalating.

The incident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
