Two injured in Annamoriah Hill crash
A driver and a passenger received injuries when their vehicle went out of control on Rt. 5, Annamoriah Hill, crashing into the hillside.
A witness to the 5:15 p.m. accident told the Herald the vehicle appeared to have developed problems with maneuvering, with the driver fighting to keep it under control.
Eugene Shaffer, the driver, and Etta Coon of Grantsville were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville for evaluation and treatment by Calhoun EMS and Minnie Hamilton ambulances.
Shaffer was admitted for treatment of injuries and Coon was treated and released.
A report indicated the couple were trapped in the vehicle, requiring assistance from the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department.
The names of the injured parties are unavailable.
Emergency services responded to a second accident on Rt. 5 just east of Big Bend at 8:15 p.m.
A vehicle reportedly rolled-over in Carroll turn, among the sharpest curves on Rt. 5.
Reports indicated the driver was out of the vehicle, although the driver was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System for evaluation and treatment. |
