| Howard Wright, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in his home surrounded by his family after a courageous fight. He was born on Oct. 29, 1933 in Grantsville, W.Va., the son of Ward and Ermal (Cain) Wright.
He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria (Dorris) whom he married on Feb. 20, 1970; son, David Glenn (Vickie) Wright of Lilly Chapel, Ohio; daughter, Pamela (Rod) Reynolds of Ripley, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jay Wright and Heather, Tera, Rodney, and Brandon Reynolds; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry Dorris; niece, Wanda (Boop) Hudson; and friends at Woodstock Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers, Lloyd, Ozie, and Guy; half-sister, Nellie Cain; aunts, Ernie Stallman, Fanny Wolfe, Zellie Cain, Dee Metz; uncles, Harley, Ollie, and Gee Cain.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at Freshwater, McDonald, & Vernon Funeral Home, North Lewisburg.
A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Russell Street officiating. |
