The Wood County Sheriff's Office says 50-year-old Timothy Osborne (left) of Elizabeth was arrested Saturday for wanton endangerment with a firearm over the weekend.
Police say Osborne fired a a shotgun at a neighbor across Rt. 14 near the Wood-Wirt line at Slate.
A press release says when members of the Wood County Sheriff's Office arrived, Osborne refused to put the firearm down and continued to taunt the deputies.
That's when the Wood County Sheriff's SWAT team was activated.
After numerous attempts to allow Osborne to surrender peacefully, the SWAT team tactically and physically subdued and arrested him.
No one was injured.
Rt. 14 was shut down to traffic during the incident.
