Some local residents attended the Tea Party held Saturday in Parkersburg. There were many patriotic speakers. Talk continues about the status of the Little Fiddler who has dropped out of public view. Many feel that the Big Boss is making plans to make his official debut on the national scene. Then he won't have to worry about all the pesky problems down at the Mouth of the Elk.

It was learned that part of the 1600 page "cap & trade tax bill" that recently passed the House of Representatives has a provision that houses cannot be sold until they are brought up to federal standards. Obviously there will be a federal inspector checking out houses before they can be sold. One might wonder how the "commerce clause" in the Constitution allows federal control over private homes. However, the Big Eared One is on record stating that, from his point of view, the Constitution is an old document that is very obstructive. Of course all this is "to prevent global warming" even though we are presently having global cooling. Some of this puts to mind the advice Moses gave the Israelites in Deuteronomy when he told them "not to worship [man made] idols" The point was that who was a man who thought he could make a statue or other object of God. Equal arrogance is shown when some claim we can alter the temperatures (& thus overrule the sun and other forces).

Little Bo Peep was asked why he wore a 'dress' & he replied that he was wearing a robe which was part of the Wiccan religion that his family practiced. He noted that he was required to wear the garb.

Some hay was cut and got up without being 'washed' but quite a bit more got rained on.

The price of local Penn grade crude fell $2.50/bbl to $60/bbl. It was learned that Dominion (Mother Hope) is planning more wells in the southern part of the state.

The Big Creston Poker Run is scheduled for July 18. Mark your calendars.
