A national study says West Virginia is the third-fattest state in the country, dropping one place from last year.
The decrease isn't because the Mountain State is slimming down.
It's because Alabama, the nation's second-fattest state, has gotten
fatter.
The Trust for America's Health report says 31.1 percent of adults in West Virginia are obese.
Worse yet, the report says almost 68 percent are either obese or overweight.
For the fifth year in a row, Mississippi is the fattest state.
The study says that Colorado is the skinniest.
Nationwide, adult obesity rates grew in 23 states last year, and did not decline anywhere.
