| Otmer Ray Elmore, 73, of Looneyville, West Virginia, died Friday June 26, 2009, at his home.
He was born Friday, June 26, 1936, in Roane County, a son of the late Joseph Otmer and Faye Thurman Harold Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashlee Jo Elmore.
Ray was a retired employee of Pennzoil. He was a member of the Linden Lodge No. 83, A.F. & A.M., Linden. Also, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dogs.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin Bailey of Newton; a son, Joseph Ray Elmore of Newton; a sister, Sharon Drake of Rockport; and an aunt, Susie Boggs of Cocoa, Florida.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial, with Masonic graveside rites, will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
