Bike riders enjoy the challenges of Calhoun Park trails

The 13th Annual Appalachian Bike Classic at Calhoun Park attracted mountain bike enthusiasts and their families this weekend from around the Mountain State.

The weather was graceful with sunny skies.

Jim Bennett, Calhoun's lone entrant in the
bike race, has helped keep the race going

"This is not your typical one day mountain bike race. The Classic has an entire weekend of fun packed events, XC Race, Short Track Race, XC Time Trial, and Bike Polo" said organizer Diann Clothier.

"The 7.2 miles of the Appalachian Classic Course had something for every rider of every ability and level of fitness," said Clothier.
