FEMA representatives will be in Calhoun informing citizens about registering for flood damage suffered by several families in May, according to Kathy Wood, Calhoun's OES Director.
They will also be speaking with households who have already registered.
For security reasons, all reps will have a security ID badge.
Woods believes a number of damaged property holders have not contacted FEMA. She suggests to "spread the word" to neighbors who could be unaware of the assistance declaration.
FEMA personnel will never ask for personal information such as date of birth or Social Security ID. That kind of information is to be given to FEMA during registration on the phone.
FEMA reps will ask to confirm the information given to them.
"I have not been contacted by all who have registered with FEMA," said Wood, because that info is confidential.
Other assistance is available for clean up. Workforce WV could be putting an adult crew together.
If you have questions, contact Wood at 304-354-9272.
Again, if you have flood damage from May 3rd you must register at
1-800-621-FEMA for individual assistance.
