Citizens in Lewis County have rallied in opposition of the PATH power line that will cross their county.
They gathered last week to ask questions about the potential power lines, saying the state is abusing it's power by taking land and building the power line.
They think safety risks, health concerns with air pollution, environmental damage, and even higher electrical costs come with the construction of the power line.
The Calhoun Commission, with a number of other regional counties, has gone on record opposing the project, based upon the negative impact of citizens.
Opposition blogger Bill Howley says "The stakes are much higher than most people in West Virginia realize."
The line is slated to cross Calhoun and regional counties.
