| "The health officials at the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department are still waiting for the test confirmation of the H1N1 (swine flu) case in Wood County from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)" according to Sherif Ibrahim, MD., MPH Regional Epidemiologist The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department.
Dr. Ibrahim says "Meanwhile, all other samples that were sent for testing in the state laboratory have been confirmed to be negative for influenza."
He is referring to six other probable cases from the state sent to the CDC.
Department of Health and Human Resources spokeswoman Marsha Dadisman says none of the patients required hospitalization.
