WV'S PROBABLE SWINE FLU CASES UP TO SEVEN

(06/01/2009)
West Virginia health officials are reporting more probable cases of swine flu, bringing the state's total to seven.

The newest cases, one in Cabell County and two in Monongalia County were reported Saturday.

The cases have tested positive in the state lab and have been shipped to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to be confirmed.

West Virginia's first four cases were reported earlier last week.

Of the seven total cases, three are in Monongalia, two in Cabell and one each in Raleigh and Wood counties.

Department of Health and Human Resources spokeswoman Marsha Dadisman says none of the patients required hospitalization.
