William Smith, 68 of Cortland Ohio died saturday, January 26 in Forum Trubull Memorial
Hospital, Warren, Ohio.
Born in Greensboro, PA, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary Rafferty Smith. He was a
former employee of General Motors Corporation and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was
a member of the U.A.W., Marine Corps League and was a Mason. He enjoyed hunting and
fishing and was a car enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanetta Hardman Smith and one brother, Alfred Smith of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Smith, Jr. and James Smith and sister,
Edith Hunchuck.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 10 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Grantsville, WV. Reverend Larry Jones will officiate. Interment will be in the Big Springs
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
