The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a
Flood Watch from midnight Sunday through Monday afternoon for portions of West
Virginia including
Barbour... Boone... Braxton... Calhoun... Clay... Fayette...
Gilmer... Harrison... Kanawha... Lewis... Logan... McDowell...
Mingo... Nicholas... Pocahontas... Raleigh... Randolph... Roane...
Taylor... Upshur... Webster and Wyoming.
A low pressure wave will ride northeastward along an old stalled
frontal boundary into the central Appalachians late tonight
through midday Monday.
Steady rain will overspread the watch
area during the predawn hours of Monday and continue into
early afternoon.
General rainfall amounts of one to two inches
are forecast by late Monday afternoon.
Rainfall amounts greater than one and a half inches
have the potential to cause flooding problems anywhere in the
watch area.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
