Edith V. Hardwick, 86 of Troy, Gilmer County, formerly of Lockney, died January 22 following a
long illness.
Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Lida Brown
Harris. She was a former employee of Louie Glass of Weston and worked as a supervisor in
the food service department of Glenville State College. Later in life she was a personal care
giver for the elderly and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Grantsville, WV.
Surviving Mrs. Hardwick are five step children and thirteen step grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverend
Roger Vance will officiate. Interment will be in the Old Bethlehem Cemetery at Grantsville.
Friends may call at the funeral from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. |
