KANAWHA MAN STABBED - Nitro Police say Brian Huffman, 22, was involved in a scuffle with another driver this week outside a Tudor's Biscuit World.

Police said Huffman got out of his car after a driver behind him accused him of backing into his vehicle.

They said Huffman threatened to get a gun out of his car, but during the scuffle, the other driver accidentally cut Huffman with a knife.

Police then confiscated a .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun from Huffman's car.

Green said no one was cited in the incident. Police are not releasing the name of the other driver.

Huffman was also involved in an unrelated shooting incident Wednesday.

Brian Huffman apparently got into an argument with someone who lived in the area and fired into the air near a house.

CHARLESTON MAN INJURED BY STABBING - A Charleston man was hospitalized after being stabbed Wednesday on the city's west side.

Police said Fleming Roger Gunnoe, 43, was on the corner of Randolph Street and Delaware Avenue about 8:45 p.m. when he got into a fight with another man.

Gunnoe was cut on the wrist and stabbed in the chest, police said. He was treated and released from CAMC General Hospital.

Police said Gunnoe was drinking and could not tell police who stabbed him.

PRESTON COUNTY BANK ROBBERY - A robbery at a Bruceton Mills bank last week put the community on high alert and schools on lockdown.

The sheriff's department says the suspect is a white man, about 6 feet tall, was wearing a ski mask at the time of the robbery and was carrying a long barreled silver revolver.

He walked into the WesBanco bank and held it up.

Investigators say he fled on foot and is still on the loose.

MORGANTOWN HOLD-UP - Police have arrested two men for allegedly robbing Paula's on Don Knotts Boulevard.

Justin Dale Whetzel, age 24 and 31-year old Jason Lee Benfield are both charged with second degree robbery.

Police went to Paula's after a panic alarm in the store was set off.

When they got on scene they found the store clerk under the a counter bound at the wrists and the two men hiding in the men's restroom.

Both men are being held in the North Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bonds.
