Life on the West Fork is beginning to show signs of Spring. My friend is doing an outstanding job painting the house. The name of the color is called "Butternut". The color is happy and very relaxing to look at. This old house has never been painted. The Paint was difficult to find in Spencer it's the economy, but the solution here-in lies at Walmart. It's pretty.
I had to rescue a bird that was caught between plastic and glass in one of my windows. Luckily I was able to free him swiftly. He was a healthy looking little fellow and flew away no problem.
Heather, Ruby, and Lea came this afternoon for a visit. We had a really good time getting the rooster riled up, and walking along the creek. That rooster is a stout bird with a robust crow. Haven't seen his hen for five days now and am looking forward to little doodies turning out in a few weeks. I love when they hatch out they're so cute, fluffy and hungry.
It's always nice for my son-in-law to stop on his long journeys every now and then.
March 29 called Borrowing Days, the last three days of March have a reputation for being stormy. Scottish folklore proposes that these three days were borrowed from April so that March might extend his power in which fiercer winds that ever blew. Lets see if it happens here. Grass is getting nice and green and flowers are blooming regardless and the promise of these storms I love.
Everyone have a wonderful Spring week!
