MINGO FIGHT ENDS IN SHOOTING - A Mingo County man has been arrested after shooting another man twice in the chest.
It started as an argument between two brothers, which ended up with another man getting shot, according to the Mingo County Sheriff's Department.
They said Ernie Sipple hired Bill Mullens, 38, to come over and haul off some scrap metal Monday, from Sipple's property.
While Mullens was moving the metal, Virgil Sipple, 64, came down and told Mullens and his brother, Ernie, to get off his property.
The three men started to argue about the property, which led to Virgil pulling out a pistol and shooting Mullens twice in the chest.
Mullens is listed in stable condition.
Deputies arrested Virgil Sipple without incident.
MUZZLELOADER KILLS BARBOUR MAN - Barbour County authorities say 44-year-old Patrick Mayhew died after accidentally shooting himself while cleaning a muzzleloader last Thursday.
They said Mayhew apparently didn't realize the firearm he'd purchased over the Internet was loaded.
Police say Mayhew "dry fired" the gun, striking him in the abdomen.
MAN ROBBED AT BOB EVANS - A man was robbed at gunpoint outside of the Bob Evans in Kanawha City, Monday.
Police say the victim entered the restaurant saying that he was robbed at gunpoint by a black male carrying a black backpack.
The suspect then fled on foot.
SHOOTING IN WEIRTON - Three individuals have been arrested following a shooting incident in the downtown area of Weirton early Monday.
The Weirton Police Department received a call about shots being fired.
When officers arrived, one individual attempted to flee, but was captured. He was identified as Bryant Campbell, 37, of Detroit, he is being charged with wanton endangerment, felony possession of a firearm, attempted murder, possession with intent to deliver, brandishing a weapon and attempted battery.
