A pick-up truck clipped an electric pole and went into the West Fork River last night at 8:50 p.m., about two miles north of Stinson Grocery on Rt. 16.
The Upper West Fork VFD and Calhoun EMS went to the scene to discover someone had pulled the truck from the river, and the occupants and truck had left the scene.
Calhoun Deputy Sheriff J. D. Smith is investigating.
There was a single-vehicle accident on Rt. 5, Nighcut Hill, just west of Cabot Station at 8:20 a.m. yesterday. The driver was apparently uninjured, declining medical treatment.
The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS responded. Chief Deputy Carl Ballengee is investigating.
