Emogene Cottrell, 61, of Shock, Gilmer County, West Virginia, passed away March 7, 2009 at Charleston Area Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1947 in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Harper and Ocie Sampson King. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant at the Gilmer County Senior Citizens Center, Glenville, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Parsons.
Surviving are one son, Denzil Cottrell, Jr. of Glenville; 2 daughters, Malissa Cottrell of Braxton County and Amanda Williams of Glenville; 4 brothers, Dwight King and George King both of Shock, Larry King of Virginia and Delbert King of Normantown, WV; 2 sisters, Lyda Dye and Sharon King both of Ohio; 7 grandchildren; and her companion James Meadows.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery at Stumptown, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and one hour prior to services Tuesday. |
