Edda Bernice Barnes, 82, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2009 at her residence.
Born March 22, 1926 in Nobe, WV, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Opal Radabaugh Roberts.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Renee Arant, and husband, Michael S., of Kearneysville and Enid Yvette Barnes of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Kevin B. James of McMechen, WV, Joshua M. Arant of Kearneysville, and A. Benjamin Arant of Martinsburg; and one great granddaughter, Madalyne B. James of McMechen, WV, and one sister, Juanita Marcum of Belpre, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Rexie Barnes; son, Terence Rexie Barnes, and daughter, Karen Lou Barnes.
Family will receive friends both at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, WV on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. and at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, WV on Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Stump Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the Nobe Cemetery.
