Blaine King and I drove to Summersville for his appointment at the Summersville Skin Center. After that we went to visit with Heather and the girls. We got back to Calhoun County just in time to get ready for the wind storm. I took down the bird feeders to prevent them from breaking the windows. Got the lanterns ready in case the electric went off. Collected water to flush the commode and for drinking and making coffee. Fortunately the electric stayed on, but it never hurts to be as prepared as possible.
Heather, Lea and Ruby came over the next morning as her electric was off in Nettie. It was dark and cold and she was here early Thursday around 10 a.m. Buddy Watkins brought the girls candy.
There is a little muskrat that's been grazing in the meadow here in the daytime. It's eating grass like it is starving. He hops back to the creek when one walks toward it. Cute little thing. Muskrats have four litters of 4 to 7 pups a season. That's a lot.
Everyone have a wonderful week.
