Dorma Maxine (Morris) McClain, 91, of Newton, West Virginia, entered into rest, Thursday, February 5, 2009, in the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale, after a short illness.
She was born December 23, 1917, at Uler, the daughter of the late Lindsay Aaron and Mary Angeline "Mollie" Harold Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Vernon Randolph McClain; one brother, Denver Morris.
She was a 61 year member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Elana and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Barbara McClain and Leo and Erma McClain all of Newton; four grandchildren, Scott McClain of Left Hand, Tamara Cook of Spencer, Geary McClain of Asheville, NC and Jamie McClain of Norfolk, VA; five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 7 at 1 p.m. in the Harold Cemetery, Uler, with the Rev. John B. Smith officiating. Friends may call at the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
