CLARKSBURG PLANT GOES DOWN - Clarksburg's Aluminum processor Precision Coil will shut down April 4, adding another 100 workers to the state's unemployment rolls.

CEO Jim Smith says the company has been hit hard by the recession and even harder by what he calls an unprecedented crash in the price of commodities.

The company has gone through all its available cash and was forced to default on several loans.

They have been unable to find a buyer.

CAMDEN-CLARK LAY-OFF - Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg has eliminated the equivalent of 23 full-time positions and will likely make further reductions with another 50 positions by July 1.

HUNTINGTON BANKS CUTTING 500 JOBS - Hundreds of workers with Huntington Banks will lose their jobs before March.

Officials with parent company Huntington Bancshares say they'll cut 500 jobs in six states, including West Virginia, in the coming weeks.
