(01/28/2009)

BLAIR HOSPITALIZED - Charlie Blair, January, 2007, following
a fire that burned his house to the ground, declaring he will start over

Broomstick-Norman Ridge resident Charlie Blair is a patient in the Pittsburgh Burn Center, suffering from burns he received last Thursday when his mobile home burned to the ground.

The 58-year-old Blair suffered first and second degree burns to his face, head and upper body, when flames erupted after heating tar on his kitchen stove.

Calhoun EMS took Blair to Minnie Hamilton Health System for emergency care. He was then sent to Pittsburgh.

Editor's Note: Since article was written, it was reported the Burn Center did not keep Charlie Blair, and he was transported by ambulance to a Parkersburg residence, unconfirmed.
