| Thomas Murray Bell, 87, of Pinehurst, Florida, passed away January 5, 2009 in Baptist Hospital, Miami.
Born January 6, 1921 in Winnipeg, Canada he was a son of the late William and Catherine Johnston Bell. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and served in the 2nd Army under George Patton in Normandy on D Day. He was retired from Florida Power and Light Company with 38 years service.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Lamp Bell in 2002.
Surviving are 2 sons, William Bell of Miami, Florida and James M. Bell of North Carolina; a daughter, Tamara Marion of Wisconsin; and one sister, Rita Catanzaro of New Jersey; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Rick Metheney will officiate. Interment will be in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery at Spencer, WV, with Military graveside rites by the Spencer American Legion Post.
