NEW YEARS DAY SHOOTING - A 19-year-old was shot and killed on New Year's Day in Wayne County. James Michael Mullins died from a gun shot wound to the face.
Even though police say the shooting appears accidental, they do have a suspect, Haskel Johnson, according to WSAZ-TV.
Police say the suspect was named because they don't believe the wound was self-inflicted with investigators questioning several witnesses.
Police found the gun believed to have been used in the shooting at the home.
RANDOLPH CO. BANK ROBBERY - A bank robbery in Mill Creek has lead to the arrest of four people following the release of the video surveillance tape by police.
Matthew Scott Pennington and Carl Andrew Hughes have been charged with armed robbery by the Randolph County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies, along with State Police from Elkins and members of the FBI were called to the Mountain Valley Bank Tuesday morning after a man walked in with a gun and demanded money.
Pennington and Hughes took about $21,000 in cash.
The two men were later tracked down at a home in Mill Creek.
Also arrested at that home were Joshua Aron Pennington and Sarah Marie Wallace, who have been charged with transferring and receiving stolen property.
MAN ARRESTED AFTER CUTTING FORMER GIRLFRIEND'S THROAT - A Cabell County man is in jail after deputies say he cut an ex-girlfriend's throat with a pocket knife.
19-year-old Joshua Davis was arrested early Tuesday.
Vanessa Stanley, was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where she is reported to be in good condition.
Police say Davis also choked Stanley and threw her to the ground during the incident. They say Stanley suffered a 1.5 inch cut to her throat.
Deputies pepper sprayed Davis during his arrest.
BIG BAR ROOM FIGHT - Chester WV police are investigating stabbings and a large bar fight that occurred New Year's morning.
Hancock County deputies responded to a fight at the night club, later finding 25-year-old Eric Robert Wilson of East Liverpool had been stabbed multiple times. Wilson was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.
Two hours later, deputies learned there was another person being treated for stab wounds at East Liverpool City Hospital, identified as David Peachey of East Liverpool.
Deputies haven't arrested anyone in connection with the stabbings.
