Ora Mae Arthur, 74, of Spencer, died December 27, 2001.
She was born June 12, 1927, in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Harry Carl and
Madeline Ora Smith Reed. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include three nephews, Gregory Reed of Hickory, NC, Timothy and
Jeffrey Reed both of Walton, WV; two
nieces, Karen Toothman of Hickory, NC and Debra Russell of Walton; three grand
nephews; five grandnieces; a great grandnephew and two great grandnieces.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her
husband, Everett Arthur; and two brothers, Harry Carl Reed Jr. and Herman Myles
Reed.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30 at John H. Taylor Funeral
Home of Spencer, WV. Pastor Victor R. Hayes will officiate.
Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery of Walton. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at
the
funeral home.
