| John R. Dooley, 74 of Elizabeth West Virginia, passed away Thursday December 4th, 2008 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wood County, WV May 25, 1934 the Son of the late John and Mary (Ames) Dooley. He was married to the late Alma Tucker Dooley.
He worked for several years at Wirt County Community Action and the WV Dept of Highways in Elizabeth. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by 5 sisters, Louise (Marcus) Woodring of Burning Springs WV, Barbara Dooley of Parkersburg WV, Nancy (Jack) Smarr of West Union WV, Sandra Dooley of Palestine WV, and Sharon Dooley of Parkersburg; 5 brothers, Jack Dooley of Newark WV, Abe Dooley of Burning Springs, David (Tonda) Dooley of Elizabeth, Keith (Sabrina) Dooley, and Kevin Dooley all of Burning Springs; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gerald and Lori Matheny of Elizabeth
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Juanita Dooley, Mary Arnold, and Margaret Ann Griffen; and
2 brothers Bobby Dooley and Bill Dooley.
Services will be Monday, December 8 at 11 a.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, with Rev. John Price officiating. Interment will be in Beatty Cemetery at Burning Springs
Visitation will be Sunday December 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of the service on Monday.
