Dr. John J. Thomas, MD, General Surgeon will begin seeing patients at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville on Mondays beginning January 12, 2009. Office hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Dr. Thomas has been on staff at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital since April, 2004. He attained his undergraduate degree from Denison College, Granville, Ohio in 1986. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1994.
He performed his residency at Mount Carmel Health, Columbus, Ohio, served as staff surgeon, assistant director of surgical clinics, medical director of surgical clinics at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio and also was assistant professor of clinical surgery at Northeastern Ohio Universities from 2002 to 2004.
Dr. Thomas will be performing minor procedures, scopes and consultations for surgery at Minnie Hamilton with surgical referrals to Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.
