Eupha Hicks McKee, 90, of Mt. Zion, Calhoun County, West Virginia, passed away November 25, 2008 at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville.
Mrs. McKee was born April 11, 1918 on Little White Oak at Chloe, a daughter of the late Carl and Kate Smith Hicks. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she had been an active member of the WSCS. Earlier in life she worked at Spencer State Hospital and was a graduate of Mountain State Business College. She served as a bookkeeper for the Spencer Truck and Implement Company and was a former employee of Rubber Fabricators of Grantsville.
Surviving are a son, Roger McKee and his wife Wilma of Weston, WV; one daughter, Roanna M. Stump and her husband John of Grantsville, WV; six grandchildren, Michael McKee of Weston, Matthew McKee of Buckhannon, WV, Marjorie Mick of Camden, WV, Christina Watson of Jane Lew, WV, J. Neil Stump of Grantsville and Rhonda Krugman of Painted Post, NY.
Also surviving are sixteen great grandchildren, Marah, Megan and Katie Roth, Amber, Hannah, Julia and Leah Watson, Ian, Wyatt and Caleb McKee, Ethan, Zachary and Emily Krugman, Eli, Isabella (Ellie) and Levi Stump; one sister, Geneall Drake of Belpre, OH, and a niece Luella Humphrey of Belva, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Glendon McKee, one sister, Ermal May of Belva, and 2 brothers-in-law, Howard May and Coy Drake.
Mrs. McKee was a loving wife and mother and devoted her life to her family and to supporting her husband in his ministry of over 50 years.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Reverends Rick Swearingen and David Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
