Nearly 75 schools from across West Virginia, including 39 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, six high schools and 14 career technical centers, were honored Wednesday for achieving Exemplary Accreditation status.
"We have high expectations for all schools in West Virginia and these schools have achieved the state board's highest level of recognition," said West Virginia Board of Education President Delores W. Cook.
Regional Exemplary schools include: Braxton County's Burnsville Elementary School, Flatwoods Elementary School, Frametown Elementary School; Ritchie County's Ellenboro Elementary School.
Regional Exemplary Vocational and Career-Technical Schools for 2008-2009 are: Braxton County High School and Clay County High School.
